Google Cast for Education: This new Chrome extension allows you and your students to share their screens wirelessly. There is no additional hardware required for this service. Google Cast for Education also works great with Google Classroom! Teacher's can run the app from their computer that is connected with their projector, then students can share their screen with the teacher so show, illustrate, or explain what they are working on and more!

Google Keep: As a Google Apps for Education district, we encourage the practice of cloud computing with our students as a way for real-world preparation. Google Keep is an excellent tool to use to jot down quick notes, save links, etc. all in your Google account with the choice to share them. Google Keep also allows you to snap quick photos and save them and create multiple checklists at one time to organize yourself and practice time management. Use this on any device, anytime.

Google Forms: Need a way to organize information for the beginning of the school year such as parent volunteers, student contact information for field trips, buddy sign-ups, etc.? Goals in Google Calendar: This is a nice new feature to Google Calendar. When creating something new in calendar using the "+" symbol, you now can select "goal" where you will be ask several questions to help you set up your goal such as duration, frequency, and more. A nice additional features is Videonot.es connects with Google Drive, allowing for teachers and students to both use and view videos. Adding the offline Drive feature to a device allows for classroom flipping to still see and use Videonot.es where no internet connection exists.

TodaysMeet: This website based app it a neat feature to add to your class as you can keep it as a running way for kids to easily type out a question they may have so you can go back and answer it later. Use TodaysMeet also to propose a question or writing prompt to a class to have a list of responses that others can see and respond to. It is free and students can join from the classroom or home!

Google Web Apps- Web Apps are online programs that run right inside your browser, rather than needing to be installed to your hard drive like traditional programs. With web apps you can run your programs from any computer and from any place that you have Internet access. Many web apps also have off-line abilities for those times you do not have connectivity.
